IGNITE, in partnership with St. John’s Board of Trade, Startup Zone PEI, and Nova Scotia Business Inc., are launching a new platform to help Atlantic Canadian businesses get online.

Open to any business, in any industry, anywhere in Atlantic Canada, e-port is a free service that provides the tools and support to build an online presence. From starting a website to implementing e-commerce solutions, e-port makes it easy to understand what’s needed and shows everyone how to get there.

When a user signs up at e-port.ca they will complete a short 5 minute assessment, this information is the basis of a customized task list created by the e-port team. With the task list in hand e-port users can enter their account and access how to guides, articles, videos, and more to help them along their journey. And when they need it, users have access to one-on-one support via email or a toll free number with the e-port team.

You don’t need an account to get great value either. The Resource Hub is a place to find local funding programs and upcoming workshops happening around Atlantic Canada. The Harbour is where you can connect with local digital service providers who can give you expert help in key areas. A central site like e-port where provincial partners have come together to share information provides an enormous benefit to businesses who are new to the online world.

Being online should be a priority for any small to medium business to thrive in this digital world. The creation of e-port is not a temporary response to COVID-19 but a response to the acceleration of digital adoption caused by COVID-19. Most businesses in Atlantic Canada are not taking full advantage of having a digital presence, mostly because they don’t have the skillset to do so. A free service such as e-port is the key to breaking down the barriers and making sure everyone is visible online.

IGNITE and our partners want to make sure that all businesses, big or small, have the opportunity to take advantage of the changing times and are not left behind without the knowledge or tools to do so.

Users are accepted on a continuous basis although early space is limited. Users can sign up for this free service by visiting e-port.ca or by calling 1-833-250-4040 toll free.
