IGNITE’s Spring Cohort of Amplify is now closed.*


Amplify is an exclusive Accelerator Program in partnership with the Centre for Entrepreneurship Education and Development. This program is a series of 10 primary two-hour virtual workshops with additional in-between sessions for rural start-ups that will take your idea from conception to a business idea that is ready for investors.

What is Amplify?

  • Using a “learn by doing” approach, participants are introduced to concepts and strategies that will move their business idea along a continuum from idea to investment ready.
  • Accountability and milestones for development have been incorporated throughout the program to ensure that momentum is measured, and bottlenecks uncovered that can be then addressed through advisory services and/or mentorship.
  • Best-in-class tools are employed throughout the program to ensure a consistent experience at both locations of Ignite.

How the Winners are Selected

Once IGNITE has reviewed all the applications and videos received, shortlisted applicants will be invited to pitch live to the judges via zoom. The live pitch event will be a maximum of 5 minutes with Q&A from the judges.

The live pitch will take place on April 15th, 2021 at 12 pm. Following the pitch event, IGNITE will reveal the top 6 winners going forward with the cohort that begins on April 29th, 2021.


How it Works

Once accepted into the program, the participants will be enrolled as a full-time resident company at IGNITE, full access to our facilities, resources, equipment, network mentorship and programming for 6 months and a cash injection of $5000 in their company to jumpstart their business.

How to Apply

  2. Fill in the questionnaire provided.
  3. Once you have filed out and submitted your application with an attached recorded pitch video ( max 2 minutes) to IGNITE, we will follow up with you by email that we have received your application and that we will be in touch if you are on to the next round of pitches.

Deadline for Submissions

All applications and videos must be submitted before end of the day April 9th, 2021.
