One of the most inspiring examples of this rural ingenuity is Inoculum Bio-Solutions Ltd., a company built on a passion for food, a deep respect for the land, and a vision to heal our agricultural systems from the ground up—literally.
Before founding Inoculum, the team operated a farm-to-fork food truck that quickly became more than just a culinary staple. It became a mobile hub for community connection—a space where local farmers, growers, and food enthusiasts gathered to share stories, challenges, and solutions. These chalkboard-scrawled conversations soon led to deeper questions about food security, sustainability, and the soil beneath our feet.
The Revelation: Soil as the Solution
Their journey took a transformative turn after connecting with Catalyst Bio-Amendments, where they were introduced to the world of soil microbiology. This newfound understanding—that truly healthy food begins with biologically rich soil—shifted their perspective and professional direction. In 2023, they joined the Microbe-Bus Tour, traveling from California back to Nova Scotia. Along the way, they facilitated composting workshops, exchanged knowledge with fellow farmers, and immersed themselves in regenerative practices.
It was during this journey that the foundation for Inoculum Bio-Solutions Ltd. was laid.

Founded by Chad Dewtie, a generational farmer with a passion for permaculture and land stewardship, Inoculum Bio-Solutions is built on a mission to regenerate the land, empower local communities, and strengthen food systems through nature-based innovation. Their philosophy is clear: when we care for the soil, we support everything that grows from it—crops, communities, and futures.
