Discovering DNA: One Day Science Camp

Every living thing on Earth runs on the same molecule. In this half-day workshop, Dr. Dilan Jaunky will explore what makes DNA so fascinating, and how it carries the instructions for all life on Earth. You’ll see how our understanding of DNA has grown over the years and what that has made possible. You’ll also take part in hands-on activities, including looking at cells under the microscope. Along the way you’ll discover how the same simple set of letters can build a world full of wildly different living things. Then we’ll talk about what people are doing with DNA today. There is no experience needed, just bring your curiosity.
