IGNITION Antigonish [Northern] @ St. Francis Xavier University | Antigonish | NS | CA
New to the area of Northern NS? Join the conversation around innovation in Antigonish, resources available to newcomers, and networking!

One of the key areas for growth in Nova Scotia is the increase in immigration and newcomers to rural Nova Scotia. Many of these newcomers to Northern Nova Scotia bring with them extensive education, experience, and drive that can help grow the economy of the region.

Ignition is an event that supports newcomers in the region and identifies opportunities and resources to help grow connections and spark entrepreneurial spirit in Antigonish.

In this spirit, IGNITE in partnership with the St Francis Xavier University, Northern Connector Program, and Immigrant Services Association of Nova Scotia are pleased to host this event bringing together newcomers to our region to participate in an innovation-focused event.

The day will be filled with guest speakers about the challenges and opportunities in the community, the resources available, and networking tips to create meaningful relationships.

Following these presentations, the attendees will be posed with an innovation challenge from within their community and given time in groups to come up with a solution. Then, they will present it to the group!

If you are new to the area, are interested in innovation and entrepreneurship, or would just like to be part of the event, register today. The event is free and food and beverages will be provided throughout the day.
