As we wrap up another exciting year, it’s the perfect time to reflect on the milestones and achievements that defined 2025 for IGNITE. This year has been a journey of innovation, collaboration, and community growth. Through our spaces, programs, and partnerships, we’ve created meaningful opportunities for individuals, businesses, and organizations to thrive.
At IGNITE, every number tells a story. Each company supported, event hosted, youth engaged, and partner involved reflects our mission to foster innovation and empower our community to achieve more. Here’s a closer look at the impact we’ve made together in 2025.
🚀 27 Resident Companies Supported
This year, IGNITE served as a launchpad and home base for 27 resident companies. These businesses represent a diverse mix of industries, ranging from tech startups and creative ventures to community-focused organizations. Each company brought its unique vision, drive, and determination to our ecosystem.
At IGNITE, we’re committed to supporting these innovators every step of the way. Through our coworking spaces, tailored programming, and access to a robust network of mentors and resources, we’ve helped these companies navigate challenges, scale their ideas, and bring impactful solutions to life. Behind every business is a team of dreamers and doers, and we’re honored to be part of their success stories.
🎉 40+ Events Hosted
In 2025, IGNITE’s calendar was brimming with activity. We hosted over 40 events, ranging from hands-on workshops and networking mixers to pitch competitions and industry panels. These gatherings created a space for ideas to flow, connections to form, and communities to strengthen.
Each event was carefully curated to deliver value. Whether attendees came to learn new skills, showcase their ideas, or simply connect with like-minded professionals, these events empowered our community to grow and thrive.
🔬 150+ Youth Engaged in STEM Programming
One of IGNITE’s core missions is to inspire the next generation of changemakers. This year, over 150 young people participated in our STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) programs, gaining critical skills and hands-on experience in areas like robotics, coding, and engineering.
From a one-day GameJam to multiple summer camps, we worked hard to create inclusive, exciting opportunities for youth to explore STEM fields. Our programming doesn’t just teach technical skills—it inspires confidence, creativity, and curiosity. By empowering these young learners, we’re helping to build a future full of innovators, problem-solvers, and leaders.
📍 1 New Location Launched
2025 marked an exciting expansion for IGNITE with the opening of our newest location in Sydney, Nova Scotia. This new hub brings our total to three physical spaces across Nova Scotia, each designed to foster innovation, entrepreneurship, and community impact.
The additional location allows us to serve more entrepreneurs, host more events, and deepen our engagement in local communities. It’s a testament to the growing demand for collaborative spaces and the strength of IGNITE’s mission in rural Nova Scotia.
🤝 50+ Partner Organizations
Collaboration is at the heart of everything we do at IGNITE, and 2025 was no exception. This year, we partnered with more than 50 organizations, ranging from local nonprofits and educational institutions to industry leaders and global companies.
Our partners help us expand our reach and amplify our impact. Together, we’ve launched new programs, hosted impactful events, and delivered resources to the individuals and businesses that need them most. These partnerships are proof that when we come together, we can accomplish extraordinary things.
💼 40+ Coworkers Using IGNITE Spaces
Our coworking spaces were buzzing with activity this year as we welcomed over 40 coworkers into the IGNITE community. Freelancers, remote workers, entrepreneurs, and small teams all found a place to work, collaborate, and grow in our dynamic environment.
With flexible workspaces, high-speed internet, and plenty of coffee on hand, IGNITE provides the perfect setting for productivity. But it’s not just about the physical space—it’s about the connections formed and the ideas sparked when people from different backgrounds come together. Our coworking spaces are where innovation meets community, and we’re thrilled to be part of so many success stories.
A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Community
To our residents, partners, event attendees, podcast listeners, STEM participants, and coworkers: thank you. Your passion, creativity, and support are what make IGNITE more than just a space or a program—it’s a community.
We can’t wait to see what we’ll accomplish together in 2026. Let’s continue to innovate, collaborate, and make a difference—one milestone at a time.
